What You Will Do:

The Medical Assistant works directly with the physician completing administrative and clinical tasks during and after office visits.  The Medical Assistant may provide patients with education and referrals, as directed by physicians.

The hours for this part time position are Tuesday-Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

    • Accurately enters New Patient Packet information into Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
    • Documents clinical data in the EMR as directed by and in collaboration with the treating provider.
    • Accurately enters Merit based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) data for Medicare.
    • Triage test results, renewals, side effects and clinical complaints.
    • Responds to physician’s requests for patient related services such as test results, referrals, etc.
    • Collects vital signs, records results in medical records and rooms patients.
    • Prepares exam and treatment rooms keeping rooms neat, clean and fully stocked.
    • Actively maintains Visco inventory. Queues patients to proper inventory system and dispenses to providers as appropriate.

What You’ll Have:

  • HS graduate or GED equivalent required
  • Medical office experience as a CMA preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
