What You Will Do:

The Pre-Authorization Coordinator performs a variety of administrative tasks that require an in-depth understanding of each insurance carrier’s authorization guidelines for medication approvals in order to ensure timely treatment for patients and reimbursement for services provided.

  • Obtains pre-authorization for all buy and bill drugs, biologics, oral medications and imaging.
  • Communicates with patients regarding authorization status.
  • Follows up with insurance companies and patients as needed.
  • Reviews necessary clinical data, obtains physician clarification when needed as required to obtain pre-authorization
  • Regular attendance in the office.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, colleagues, physicians,
    and the public.

What You’ll Have:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Medical Office and EMR experience
  • Pre-Authorization Experience
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
