Dr. Nadishani T. Dissanayaka received her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University, Douglass College, and graduated from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Dissanayaka completed her internship and residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, and her fellowship in Rheumatology from both Albert Einstein Medical Center and Temple University Hospital.

From the beginning of her medical career, Dr. Dissanayaka has been deeply involved in scientific exploration, first as a Laboratory Manager of the Susan L. Cullman Laboratory for Cancer research, and for Genewiz, Inc. where Dr. Dissanayaka conducted DNA sequencing services.

In 2011-2012, Dr. Dissanayaka received the TOUCH Silver Award for Volunteering—a national award recognizing those who have given 50 or more hours of community service. For Dr. Dissanayaka, this has included traveling to Honduras with a Medical Mission and providing free and urgent care to patients at the Christiansburg Free Clinic.

In her downtime, Dr. Dissanayaka enjoying gardening, the beach, and most of all, spending time with her husband and son.
