What You Will Do:

The Billing Receptionist will greet visitors to the Administration and Billing/Pre-Authorization Departments while assisting with daily billing department duties.

  • Runs daily reports and email them to accounting.
  • Answers phone and routes calls to appropriate area.
  • Posts patient checks and/or credit card payments that are received via the mail or phone.
  • Prints fee slips for upcoming appointments. Reviews account for patient balance and active referrals, if required.
  • File completed fee slips by date of service.
  • Sorts and distributes mail and courier bags.
  • Scan paper EOB’s on the shared drive at the end of the day.
  • Monitors Billing Portal.
  • Monitors Billing Voice Mail.
  • Monitor and forward incoming faxes.

What You’ll Have:

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
  • Medical Office Experience
  • Charge Entry experience preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMR) systems preferred.
  • Experience with Navinet preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding medical terminology preferred.
